The intent of the Wood Bat League is to give the High-School player and select team player an opportunity to continue their competitive season against the best competition around, and for pitchers to “even the playing field” by eliminating the aluminum bat.  Players will each be provided one wood bat to use and to keep after the season is over. Additional bats may be purchased from the Strike Zone at reduced prices. This league affords players the opportunity to play with and against players they might not meet during the summer season at great locations across the metro area. Again, this league is for players 16 years of age and up and is promised to be very competitive.

This is the Strike Zone’s 8th year offering this league.  We have had great success with this league in the past and we’re looking to build on this success in the upcoming season.  Every year, there are numerous players that come out of this league and sign with college programs around the nation.  Heighten your level of play with the Strike Zone Wood Bat League!

2008 Elite League

The Strike Zone Elite Team was created to provide the elite high school player the opportunity to compete against college teams. The purpose is to give players exposure first hand to some of the area colleges, and to give them the experience of playing at a higher level.  Participating on this team will improve the player’s overall level of play, and will show them what it takes to play at the college level.  The Elite Team plays a fall schedule while the college teams are involved with fall baseball. Games will be played throughout the week and on Saturdays, so it will not conflict with the 16-Up League.  The schedule will conflict with fall sports, so it is limited to players not participating in a fall school sport.  Contact Joe or Sean for more info!!!  Take Advantage of a great opportunity to display your talents!!
